(20 min YOGA) Soothe Digestion w/ Meg Elaine
Listen to the playlist
We made a custom PLAYLIST on Spotify to enjoy with this class…
Class begins with breath awareness at the abdomen. The movements and postures in class are designed to sooth your digestive system: a variety of forward folds, twists, and gentle core engagement. You may use a rolled up blanket to offer additional compression to the abdomen in your forward folds (although I only instruct this at the end, feel free to use it in the standing forward fold as well!), and please feel free to close your class either with legs-up-the-wall pose, or savasana.
One of the most radical shifts I’ve experienced in my own life since practicing yoga has been healing my digestive system. I hope this practice helps you in your own journey of supporting your digestion. I recommended to wait a minimum of one hour (preferably longer!) after eating before beginning this practice.
