This hour long practice offers deep, sustained stretching in the area of the hips. The postures are held for 3-5 minutes at a time, during which you are invited to embody the energy of yielding and letting go.
All sorts of sensations and emotions may come up during your practice! You are encouraged to be present as much as possible with everything that arises - the release may be just as much emotional as it is physical!
Yin yoga works with the body’s connective tissue, a system that holds our form and posture.
Throughout class, I show the posture in my own body initially, then move out of the shape and narrate from a seated position.
