(22 min PRACTICE) Creativity Requires Faith Meditation + Journaling w/ Nkechi Njaka
CREATIVITY REQUIRES FAITH. FAITH REQUIRES THAT WE RELINQUISH CONTROL. ~Julia Cameron
We are each being challenged to create, as it is our birthright. And it is often in the pursuit of creating, we find ourselves stuck. We may lack inspiration or creative flow or we might be finding ourselves with a mental block. Presence and present-moment awareness is a really beautiful and efficient way to access our creativity.
Please find a comfortable way to be in order to enjoy this 15 minute guided meditation and make sure you have a pen and paper to do the journaling at the end.
Reflection
What are you moved to create right now in this period of time?
Where have workaholism and perfectionism blocked your creativity? What projects are on hold because it’s “not perfect or ready yet”?
What is one thing you are dreaming of? And in your dreaming, how often do you hear the word impossible follow?
Are you able to identify anything physical (person, space) that is blocking creativity? Your flow? Your general happiness?
Where is one place in your life you could afford to meet with more faith?
DOESN'T EVERYTHING DIE AT LAST, AND TOO SOON? TELL ME, WHAT IS IT YOU PLAN TO DO WITH YOUR ONE WILD AND PRECIOUS LIFE? —Mary Oliver
