The zodiac sign of Leo rules the heart, spine, and upper back. This hatha/vinyasa practice focuses on increasing spinal mobility, opening the heart, and building heat.

Practice begins cat cow breath of fire and concludes with a 5 minute savasana. Warm up & cool down poses 5-7 breaths. There is a build up to flip dog, this pose can be unsafe for inexperienced practitioners and is not recommended if it is unfamiliar.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

nathaniel is a self described Black weirdo with an East Coast heart and a RBF. He was deeply rooted in progressive and radical non-profit spaces in his local communities and nationally for 17 years. Previously a case manager, wellness educator, capacity builder, operations director and executive director, he is now an organizational development consultant, yoga instructor, Reiki master, and doula. His personal and community based practices are rooted in harm reduction.
