When we are chronically stressed, it can be difficult to connect with our authentic joy. Consciously reflecting on how we relate to our stressors can be empowering and revealing. When a persistent stressor is negatively impacting our wellbeing, we can shift it, eliminate it, or change our perception of it.

Reflection:
1) Make a list of all of your stressors - external, internal, habitual, etc
2) Circle 2-3 stressors that you can shift or eliminate in some way. Write down how you plan on shifting, and commit to doing so for at least a week.
3) Circle 2-3 stressors that you can change your perspective about. Write down at least two (maybe more) ways that each of them has a positive impact on your life. For the next week (at least!), when you notice yourself in a negative spiral about that stressor, do your best to shift your perspective.
