(13 min CLASS) Seasonal Living for June w/ Sophia Bouwens
This is the second month of Summer in the Chinese Calendar. Summer is the Time of Flourishing, governed by the FIRE element, the heart organ and the emotion of JOY. This element governs joy and growth of our vital energy.
In this video, Sophia reviews goes deeper into these themes, which climax at the Summer Solstice and how to balance this Fire with Water. Sophia outlines the importance of connecting with the Joy we find in our True Self, and observing where fear shows up within us as a way to balance Fire and Water, or engage in conscious interactions with stress, stress resilience. She gives examples of how we can work to re-frame anxiety, and encourages adding play into our lives as an antithesis to stress.
