Learn how the vagus nerve interacts with the rest of our our body, how it relates to our state of being, and how we can strengthen it to live in a greater state of ease and calm.
Sophia starts with an overview of the anatomy of the Vagus Nerve, it's function and its role in our brain-body connection, and dives into how it relates to our state of being. She explains into the role of the vagus nerve within the greater landscape of the nervous system, specifically our autonomic nervous system which is comprised of our parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system (or rest and digest vs fight or flight) and how the vagus nerve engages with our sense of calm, ease and wellbeing.
After explaining what the vagus nerve is and how it engages with the rest of our nervous system and body, she goes on to explain how and why strong vagal tone can enable us to live in a state of calm, creativity and ease as full-brained being. She also dives into how the vagus nerve relates to our digestion, food sensitivities, gut health AND social health.
This class wraps with exercises and things we can do to strengthen our vagus nerve and live with a greater sense of ease and joy in our life!
