Meg Elaine
YOGA INSTRUCTOR, YOGA NIDRA SPECIALIST
Meg has been practicing yoga since 2010, and teaching since 2014. She found yoga through seated meditation, and received her 230-hour RYT vinyasa teacher training in 2014 at Your Yoga in Minneapolis. Meg now specializes in yoga nidra and restorative styles of movement/postures after receiving her 100-hour certification in 2017 while she was living in New Zealand. Yoga has given her the gift of feeling further at home within herself, and she is grateful for all opportunities to share within these powerful practices.
Meg's priority as a teacher is empowering students to reconnect to their most true selves. Through the simplicity of breath work, movement instruction, and guided rest, Meg encourages students to develop a witness perspective to what arises in the body, mind, heart, and spirit.
Her classes primarily focus on connecting to a sense of deep awareness and presence through restorative postures, breath-centered joint movements (pawanmuktasana), gentle dynamic flow, basic breathing methods, and the practice of yoga nidra.
*Yoga nidra can be translated as "yogic sleep," and is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while potentially maintaining consciousness. The systematic instruction brings students to a state that is in between awake and asleep while lying down for approximately 20-30 minutes.*
